Sophie has found a new interest recently asking to help out with the bees whenever she can! She has been very ambitious with the hammer and nail and has managed to assemble several new hive bodies herself. The hives are continuing to thrive with the addition of new bodies on all 6 of the hives. Most of them now have honey supers on top ready for the bees to make comb for storage of their winter supply of honey. After that is complete, we will be able to harvest honey in the fall! Every now and then we scoop up a little honey in comb to take home and taste! I think this too is becoming a favorite event for Sophie!
