We welcomed Willow as the latest addition to our household at Steinthal! After many years since the loss of our Mastiff, Chelsea, we finally decided that we had the time and ability to raise another as part of our family. Dan has always been partial to the large breeds and has dreamed of having a Great Dane. She was born on February 25th, 2018 at Full House Danes in Lake Mills, WI. We had a wonderful experience with Christine, the breeder and after 8 weeks (and 18 pounds) we were able to pick up Willow on April 21, 2018.
After we had Willow for several months, Natalie felt that she was “lonely” and needed a “big brother”. Despite my initial reluctance and voice of reason, we finally decided to look for yet another Dane to add to the mix. We were thrilled to find Willow’s brother, Zed! Born on January 2, 2019 at Boondocks Danes in Scandinavia, WI., he has fit in perfectly to our family and I think Natalie was correct about Willow. She seems so much happier…………in Natalie’s mind….
