What a crazy day today…. The Nest thermostats arrive and the project turned into a MAJOR PROJECT. All three thermostats installed in about 30 minutes, but one would not work. Four phone calls to Nest and 5 hours of trying my best to diagnose the problem resulted in a very frustrating day. Turns out that in addition to the display, computer chips reside in the mounting bracket. I started to get suspicious about this possibility and even asked the technician after trying everything if he thought there could be a problem with the mounting bracket. He thought that was not the case, but after I worked on it some more and actually tried to upgrade the software on the MOUNTING BRACKET, I realized there could be no other possibility. In the end, one thermostat is being replaced and I should be ready to see the energy savings I have desired. Today, I also finally put the Sonos speakers in the kitchen ceiling and also built three bee hives. Tonight I was able to perfect the perfect Easter martini to be shared with friends tomorrow. Looking forward to a wonderful Easter!
