Virgin Dan: No training and no bike culture experience as he was expecting to be a support driver. Day 3 though he borrowed a bike and some shorts and came back looking quite exhausted after his 70 mile ride. We discovered he was wearing his bike band on his wrist. Note that the term virgin is a Ragbrai term for those that ride the rumble in succession. He did excel as a support team member though. Note his above skills with the hacksaw to remove the lock from one of our riders locked up their bike and lost the key in the wee hours of the morning.
