A whirlwind weekend for the family as we spent Friday evening traveling to Eau Claire, WI. for a UWEC campus visit for Emily!  An overnight in a run down Ramada and we were all ready to escape! The campus was beautiful and full of new construction, including an enormous Education Department building which is slotted for completion during the spring of 2014.  Emily was accepted to the university, but still thinks a bigger city is where she would rather be.

We ate lunch with Alyssa’s aunt and uncle and the rest of her extended family and then drove back to Green Bay to attend the Symphony in the evening.  Poor Noah was plagued with a constant cough during the entire trip and we decided to forgo the orchestra lest he get booted by the surrounding patrons.  After stopping in Wausau to get his birthday bow, we motored to Steinthal to spend the rest of the weekend with family and friends staying at the lodge over the weekend.
