A special thanks to the Brown family for knowing what I not only wanted, but needed for Christmas.  It’s been a few years since I actually had bib overalls (actually the last time I wore them was when I was in highschool…. they were sooooo cool!), but there have been many times since living at Steinthal when I wished I had them while working outside (and occasionally while working in the kitchen after Emily prepared an evening dinner).  Raised on a dairy farm, Mrs. Brown knows the importance of a well-fitted pair of bibs!  The flannel shirt was the icing on the cake.  While I may practice my classical piano pieces in the attire with great pride, I will certainly savor the times I get to wear the outfit while working outside.  The book, Farm Kid by Justin Isherwood (a Wisconsin native) will be a nice evening read albeit perhaps while in something slightly more comfortable than my new overalls.   Merry Christmas to the Browns and a very Happy New Year to all!
