Natalie and I took her kids on a short trip to Milwaukee the day after Thanksgiving to watch a Bucks game. We parked and walked the short distance to the spectacular Fiserv Forum and were inside an hour before the game started. The only problem is the technology had us a little baffled. All food orders are now done on your phone. After getting the kids situated in their seats, Natalie and I headed out to get something to eat and drink. We got our drinks, $21 margaritas which were only being served on the floor below us, and a serious 10-minute walk (when you consider the crowd). After getting our drinks, we got back to our floor and were ready to order food, but the food could only be ordered by phone and then after you placed your order, it would appear in a slot outside whatever vendor you ordered from.
After finally getting the menu to look at, and downloading the app to our phones, Natalie and I stood outside the vendor we chose and she placed the order. After the order was placed and paid for we found out that she accidentally ordered from a food vendor on the floor below us near where we got our margaritas in the first place. So back down we went to pick up our food and by that time we had finished our first set of $42 maragaritas and were ready for the next pair.
We missed the start of the game, but the adventure preceding it was another one we will never forget! I think the kids thought we ditched them for the entire game. we made it to our seats towards the start of the first quarter and were able to witness another great Bucks win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Overall we had a great time and are looking forward to doing this again in the near future and we will be better prepared with how to order our food so hopefully next time we can see the entire game!
I took all of one picture during the game and spent the rest of the time playing with my GoPro which resulted in a not-so-professional video, but one that I will enjoy watching over the years to come.
