After a very hot and humid vacation up to this point, we were happy to jump on board the Victoria Queen for a cruise down the Yangtze River from Chongquing to Fengdu. This was a three day cruise with several stops along the way (more on those later). The Yangtze is called the Chang Jiang river locally and is the longest river in Asia and the third longest in the world after the Nile and Amazon respectively. The river originates in the Dangla Mountains at the eastern edge of the Tibetan plateau. We were able to visit some of the most scenic portions of the river called the Three Gorges. More on that later….
Below: Emily and Sophia are finally able to get those nails reworked while enjoying the air conditioned comfort of the boat’s salon. Life is good!
