Happy Independence Day from Sheboygan!

Natalie and I spent most of the holiday with friends and family. My son Noah stopped by for several days and we enjoyed our time with him. On July 3, Sheboygan hosted its annual Venetian boat parade, which we attended and enjoyed. We’ve been in the parade in years past, but this year watched from the riverfront as a dozen well-decorated boats participated.

On July 4, Natalie and her friend Steph ran in the annual Independence Day Run at the YMCA located only a block from our home. Unofficial results suggested a Natalie win, but we’re still reviewing video footage of the finish line.

Sheboygan’s annual Independence Day parade and waterfront concert series took place and we spent most of our day listening to music with friends. We actually ended up back home before the fireworks even began and completely missed them this year.

Natalie and friend Alyssa even had matching Independence Day shirts for the celebration and they were a huge hit in the band tent!

My favorite shot depicts this young girl in awe as the band members go wild on stage

Regardless, we had a great time, and will certainly enjoy the memories made over this holiday. Below are two simple videos I made of the Venetian boat parade as well as our day on July 4. Enjoy.
