We were able to visit a few factories on our journey. Shown here are photos a cloisen vase factory and a silk factory. The cloisen work was beautiful and elaborate. We were able to watch the artists form the vases through each stage. The dyes used and pictured above are all from natural local materials. The silk factory work looked more tedious and it was also very hot. James, a teen traveling with our group, here ate one of the worms for a snack. One good thing about shopping in China is that every souvenier you buy is guaranteed to be made in China.
