We recently returned from a week-long camping trip to Firefly Lake, near Boulder Junction, WI. Part of the Northern Highland – American Legion State Forest, this is truly one of the most beautiful places in all of Wisconsin. With no electricity, we were forced to depend on batteries and occasional generator use. The lake was home to some beautiful wildlife, including loons that would entertain us throughout the day. I purchased a floating island and unicorn and we had a great time spending most of our days relaxing on the lake.
