Today marks the first day that I was able to migrate the blog over to a personal web server located here in my Sheboygan house. I have been paying a ton of cash over the years in order to host my site on remote servers and while this was probably a good move at the time, especially when I was renting out the lodge, I have slowly realized that the complexity of that site and the fact that there is little traffic make it a case of spinning wheels for no real purpose. I honestly feel that this site is becoming more of a means of journaling our personal adventures and day-to-day activities and the necessity for such a complex website really is not worth the effort. So today I was finally able to get the service up and running on the local server and will start the process of updating past blog entries that were composed using the Avada Fusion templates. Simple is the word of the day.
