We have collected 20 gallons of sap today and have taken the syrup making process outdoors. We rigged up a outdoor stove over the fire pit (which conveniently has been rendered free of snow in the last few days) using some patio block and an old grill grate. We have an at least 8 gallon pot going outside and about 3 more gallons in another pot indoors.
