We set out on a quest to get to the top of the mountain in time for lunch overlooking Bellagio. We started out on Monday in rain and eventually climbed above the rain clouds to the top where a wonderful family-owned place called Baita Belvidere stood near the village of Chevrio. We were all worried about Brian slipping on the cobblestone incline and taking out his other shoulder (or worse his already broken one..), but he actually managed better than the rest of us! By the time we got to the restaurant (about 1.5 hours later) we were in the clouds and had nothing but a sea of white to look at….however, by dessert time the clouds cleared and we were able to get a glimpse of San Giovanni in the distance.
