The New Year in Sheboygan always includes a Polar Plunge where hundreds wait until 1:00 PM on January 1st, to brave the frigid Lake Michigan waters for a quick dip, before running back to land and warming up! This year, our air temperature was a balmy 43 degrees making the entire event a little more “enjoyable” for the crowds. Natalie and I stood by the sidelines and just watched as I don’t think this will ever be something I will find myself doing…
After watching the show by the lake, we were invited over to Pacifico restaurant for a late lunch with our friends, Matt and Cyndi.

They are the best!” after which Matt placed his arm over her prized collection, looked her right in the eye and slammed his open hand down hard on top of her treasured pile, smashing the curled chips to smithereens! Bits and pieces of baked corn, salt, and even a little salsa flew everywhere! I have not laughed so hard in my life and somehow, she still doesn’t find the humor in it……
