While cleaning the kitchen counter and watching my phone plummet to the floor (even in it’s protective case!), I knew from the sound it made that the damage was done. Glass slivers everywhere, but it still works fine! With 84 days left until my contract is up with Sprint, a replacement would cost over $800. UGH! Being a fixer, wannabe type of person, I have decided to try a hand at Iphone repair. I have already researched the task, ordered the parts and necessary tools ($19.99) and am patiently awaiting the arrival of what promises to be either an extremely rewarding or perhaps a completely disheartening endeavor. Having repaired my own and the children’s iPods in the past, I am fairly confident I can do this. Besides, I fixed a jammed Play Doh Sweet Shoppe Candy Cyclone only a few short months ago! Wish me luck with this one. I think I might need it. In the mean time, I am going to do my best preventing my fingers from being bloodied by the shards of glass emanating from my phone.
